This past weekend, I went with my host family to their beach house in Merry Beach. After the very long drive on Friday afternoon, we arrived to find a bunch of kangaroos in their driveway! The next day I was able to even feed and (almost) get attacked by a male kangaroo. Just a note here how Angelo warned me about how dangerous kangaroos can be! I hate when my dad is right (: It was so nice to be so close to the beach! Alice, my host sister and I went on a beautiful hike on Sunday and we also took a great beach walk with my host mom and dad and one of their dogs, Clink!
The Randals have been so incredible and have made this fellowship so much easier as they have welcomed me into their family from the second I walked in. I miss really miss every member of the Randall family when I go back to the states.
Today at St Lucy’s I was back with seal class. Today was unique because the main teacher is out sick so there was a sub and the two aids and myself. It was a great day with seal class, they have become my favorite class as their energy is incredible and their class is filled with kindness only kindergarten kids can provide. In seal class, there are 3 little boys that are the nicest and kindest kids who do everything together. Seal class excels at “news” and they love to dance and have music class. I have such s nice Monday with seal class and am really happy I got switched into this class. Today at recess, I befriended a girl who has the same name as one of my sisters! I’ve seemed to have gravitated towards children that crazy enough share my family’s names. I’m starting to miss home a bit but am quite amazed at how comfortable I feel at the Randal’s, at St Lucy’s and in Sydney. It’s something that I knew would eventually happen but didn’t know when. I’m praying for everyone back home and at PC and am asking for your prayers in my last two weeks at St Lucy’s!
